Maybe I’ll try my hand at micro fiction. I believe in brevity and economy of words. And I’m terrified at the thought of writing 1667 words per day.
OK – terror is no reason to back out of NaNoWriMo, but interest is a reason to try my had at micro fiction.
What if I thought of my daily word count as 5-7 works of micro fiction? Hmm. That might just work. Letters, diary entries, and newspaper clipping really aren’t that long.
Or maybe I’m nervous because I’ve neglected the reading portion of my training program. Well, let me clarify. I read a lot every day, but I did check out 3 books to prep myself for NaNoWriMo, and I haven’t cracked those open yet.
Or maybe I feel vulnerable for putting all of my NaNoWriMo thoughts out there.
Or maybe I’m just over-sharing.
