Neighbor,

I’m sure we have spoken on previous occasions, but nothing more than a quick “Hi!”  So you must have understand my surprise, nay, my apprehension, when you stopped me while I was walking my DD to school.  However, I’m glad you did.

Your offer to share your flowers with me was generous and unexpected, and your taking the the time to talk gardens with me and encourage me in my gardening was, well, downright neighborly.

Thank you for living out the Lord’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves.
