Lord, as we enter the third month of the year and realize we’ve not kept our New Year’s resolutions, and as we enter the lenten season and prepare ourselves to make sacrifices, help us to remember You.  Help us to realize that pleasing you with our obedience is better than making self-serving sacrifices.  Help us to seek Your guidance as we determine our paths and our sacrifices, so that we can honor You in all we do.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
