I just created a writing challenge for myself.

Since America is celebrating 244 years tomorrow, and since 2020 is an interesting time to be an American, I have decided to write 244 words about my American identities for 20 days.

America Me & Mine

What does America mean to me? What does it mean to me as a woman? A mother? A writer? An educator?

I plan to take the next 20 days to explore those questions and more in 244-word blog posts.

I’m not sure how it will go or who I will be after the challenge ends, but I’m giving it a try. After all, isn’t that what America is – The Great Experiment?
