I made a tank top. It doesn’t fit. The straps are too long, the top is too wide, and the hips are too tight. Nevertheless, I feel amazing about my accomplishment.
I don’t understand patterns; they confound me. Instead, I follow written instructions. I couldn’t find any written instructions for this type of top, but the remaining fabric dictated a top of this sort. So I just figured out how to construct it.
This has to be my best garment construction so far. I’m especially pleased with how the strap attachment, seam matching, and side slits turned out.
I’ll have to call my mom to learn how to alter it so it will actually fit, however.
And that’s my bit of creativity for today.
