Not this week, Satan

For the past few days, as I sat down at my sewing machine to make masks, my phone rang.  Every time I sat down at my machine for the past few days, my phone rang.  Literally.

Those of you who know me well understand 2 things: I don’t use the word literally lightly, and my phone rarely rings.

Yet here I am.

So I began wondering if Jesus didn’t want me to sew masks, but I realized it was Satan who didn’t want me sewing masks.  Of course he doesn’t want masks to go to people to keep them healthy in the midst of a pandemic.

Plus, it’s Holy Week.  Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday must be particularly difficult days for Satan; he’s probably taking out his frustrations on lots of people.

But he won’t get God’s glory.  Not this week, Satan.

And that’s my bit of creativity for today.
