I find 10 year olds fascinating. Yesterday as TB was telling me about his day, he made both of the following statements.
TB: In Spanish we watched a movie about Costa Rica; it wasn’t about Costa Rica.
TB: I’m making a video game about the lives of the settlers when they first came to Jamestown.
Really? Both of these comments came from the same boy?
I asked about the Costa Rica conundrum, and apparently the movie was about Costa Rica but not the part they watched.
And the video game? Well that’s just about the coolest way I’ve ever heard of to learn about the Jamestown colony. Kudos to Mrs. Johnson for her teaching and TB for figuring out how to gamify US history.
