Wherever you are right now in time and space, be right there.
Don’t rush to be in a new year, a new tomorrow, a new space, with new people.
Sometimes we need to run.
Sometimes we need to rush.
Sometimes we need to seize opportunities.
Sometimes we need to dive headlong, and diving happens quickly or not at all.
But we won’t understand when those sometimes are if we’ve never slowed down enough to recognize the guiding voice of God. If we don’t slow down, we’ll never know when to run, rush, seize, and dive.
If we don’t slow down, we’ll never see the beauty of where we are, because we will always be seeking the beauty of where we aren’t.
So take a deep breath, look around, and be right there in time and space. This is where you’re supposed to be in this moment. The next moment might bring something else; it might night. Either way, embrace now, slow down, and enjoy.
