Too many people have been murdered in the past few days. One would have been too many, but this? The headlines quite rightly scream about the tragic deaths of civilians and law enforcement officers, and this insane tally doesn’t even account for the people who lost their lives no less tragically but less publicly.
Too many families right now grieve the passing of needlessly lost loved ones. Too many significant others mourn their mates. Too many children can’t understand why a parent is gone.
Too many tragedies comprise US history.
Today, let’s compound our triumphs instead of our tragedies.
