A student wanted to create hanna art on me, but, unsure if I would have an allergic reaction, I declined. He completely respected my trepidation, but in an instant of unbridled adventure, I decided to allow him to henna something tiny on the inside of my wrist. He asked what I would like, and I suggested a small triangle. A delta.
This year has been a year of great change for me. I took a risk and became a high school teacher. I took a risk and got some henna art. I find I have taken many risks here of late, and the changes have been good. They have been difficult – very difficult – but they have been good.
Changes, like my henna art, are not permanent, but the concept of change is constant. And with God, I can embrace change and consistently grow.
I am change.
I am Delta.
Oo-oop!
