Being black is like curating an art museum collection.

Each aspect of your persona develops as an artistic masterpiece demanding discovery and recognition.  Every day you find new pieces of yourself to explore, and you must determine which pieces go on display when, how, and with what other pieces.  Curating requires an ongoing process of determining what is seen currently, what is reserved for another time, what special collections can only be accessed with pre-approved permission, and what goes into long-term storage only to be unearthed at some point in the distant future by a public you will never know.
