My Little Miracle

I got to spend the day with TB today.  It was a great day, especially lunch.

At first I thought lunch was going to be a bust, because he spent so much time focused on the activities on the kids’ menu.  I figured he was too preoccupied to chat with me.

So I took the opportunity to stare at him.

The more I looked at him working, the more I marveled at how God has blessed me so abundantly.  I thought about how different he is now from when he was a baby, but I also thought about how much the same he is.  He is still quick with a smile and a full-bodied laugh.  And apparently, he still likes to hang out with his mom.

Eventually he got to talking (because well, he honestly can’t help himself), and I learned so much.  I learned about the upcoming football game between Michigan and Michigan State Universities.  That knowledge came with all kinds of odds, statistics, and fun facts.  Did you know that the seating capacity of Michigan’s stadium is significantly greater than that of the Edward Jones Dome where the Rams play?  I didn’t, but I do now.  When I asked him how he knew so much about so many football-related things, he smiled and said, “I’m an expert.”

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is my little miracle.
