Shopping

Today I went to Target.  Twice.  The first time I didn’t realize it would be crowded because so many college students are moving in all around the city and need to pick up some items for their residence halls along with school supplies.  The second time I went, I knew that information, but I went anyway.

Today I also went to 5 Below and Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

And I went to Schnucks.

I’ll have you know that in the past two days, I have gone to Schnucks three times.

I’ll let that sink in for a moment.

Yes, I actually went to a grocery store three times in two days.  Before today, I could count the number of times I’ve been to the grocery store this year on one hand.  For those of you who don’t know my shopping habits, I dislike actual shopping in real-live stores where I have to go to and walk around and interact with other humans.  And I don’t even get to read reviews.  I hate making purchases without having read reviews.  Furthermore, I particularly dislike grocery stores.  My disdain for grocery stores is so great that I’ve already investigated online grocery services in case of Chris’ untimely demise.  I don’t want the children and me to starve if Chris is no longer around to provide food for us.  But I also don’t want to have to go to a grocery store.  It really is that serious.

Lest I give the impression that I dislike shopping all together, I should mention that I love to shop and quell any thoughts to the contrary.  I just love to shop online.  As one of my friends put it, “The internet is my jam.”

That this weekend was so packed with shopping excursions leads me to believe that Jesus is coming back soon, y’all.  Nothing else makes any sense.  🙂
