Every morning on the way to school, we get a fabulous view of the Gateway Arch. Recently we had this conversation on the way to school.
The Boy: Look! There’s the arch. It’s a famous landmark.
The Girl: It is a famous landmark.
TB: If you can see the Arch, that means you’re in St. Louis.
TG: No it doesn’t.
TB: Daddy said if you can see the Arch, that means you’re in St. Louis.
TG: You can see the Arch from Illinois.
TB: No, if you can see it, you’re in St. Louis.
TG: You can see the Arch from Illinois, and Illinois is not in St. Louis.
Me: She’s got you there, kid.
N.B.: The Husband later clarified his statement to TB. TH told TB that the Arch is a famous landmark, and whenever people see the Arch, they know they are in St. Louis. TB was so close.
