No, it’s a Note

The boy: My friend did a note today.
Me: What do you mean he did a note?
The boy: He did a backflip.
Me: What does that have to do with a note?
The boy: That’s what it is.

Me: That’s what what is?
The boy: A note.
Me: I thought you said he did a backflip.
The boy: He did. That’s a note.
Me: A note is a backflip?
The boy: Yes.
Me: Says who?
The boy: Fourth graders.

Who’s on 1st, kindergarten style.

(I later learned a backflip is also called a “no” as in “no hands.”  Who knew?  I’ll tell you who.  Another mother)
