Apparently today is the first day of fall.
I distinctly recall that the first day of each season used to occur on the 21st of the given month, but that was back when I was young. That was back in the dark ages.
I suppose we are more enlightened now and more in-tune with the revolving of our planet around the sun and other such sundry affairs that we can have flexibility in how we note the changing of the seasons.
Meanwhile, the high temperature today was 85 degrees. That doesn’t really scream fall. And I’ll be honest, I don’t mind fall isn’t chafing my cheeks just yet. I love the idea of warm weather lingering. Permanently.
But if there were no fall, there would be no glut of pumpkin dishes, and I love my annual glut of all things pumpkin.
