Dear guy getting the lap dance in public,
As I celebrated my birthday by enjoying some live music, I looked over to see you getting a lap dance. I didn’t want to watch, but I kept peeking over at you, because I couldn’t avert my gaze from the train wreck that you were.
At first I was disappointed in your companion. Why would she do that in public? I wondered. But then I wondered, Why would he let her do that in public?
Then I realized why – because you neither love nor respect her.
If you loved or respected this woman, you would have whispered in her ear, “Not now, my love. This is neither the time nor the place. But later, baby, when it’s just you and me…”
Instead, you valued the cheap thrill of her humiliation over common courtesy.
That’s certainly not the kind of party she deserved, no matter how much of a party it was for you.
Hoping you learn what manhood means,
